MS
~
Multiple sclerosis has a probability of affecting 2-150 women out of every 100000. MS, attacks the central nervous system, wherein the immune system starts damaging nerve covering in the brain. The disease usually starts appearing in young adults with a varied level of symptoms. It impacts each individual differently. It is seldom fatal, but in most cases causes disability.
~
One of the most common symptoms of MS in women is the difficulty with vision. One can face blurry eyesight, double vision, blindness in one or both eyes, involuntary movement of the eyes, etc.
~

~
Causes and Triggers
~
Muscles are involved in every movement you make. They get longer and shorter to move and hold the body.
If MS causes nerve damage that affects muscle movements, they can cause a range of problems.
~
Recognizing Trigger Factors
~
Investigating potential trigger factors that cause or make your spasms or stiffness worse is a vital step in finding solutions. If identified and addressed, these may reduce or relieve the problem.
~
For example, something as simple as loosening tight clothing might provide some relief.
~
The following are some of the more common trigger factors that you and your doctor or MS nurse might consider:
~
~ an increase in your body temperature (perhaps because of a fever or exercise)
~ infections (for example, bladder or chest infections)
~ if you are experiencing a relapse
~ skin irritation (including pressure sores)
~ a full bladder
~ constipation, causing a full bowel
~ overly tight strapping or clothes
~ a fractured bone (perhaps caused by a fall)
~ problems with posture
~ emotional stress

Lupus
By Mayo Clinic staff
~
Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems — including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.
~
Lupus can be difficult to diagnose because its signs and symptoms often mimic those of other ailments. The most distinctive sign of lupus — a facial rash that resembles the wings of a butterfly unfolding across both cheeks — occurs in many but not all cases of lupus.
~
The most common signs and symptoms include:
~
~ Fatigue and fever
~ Joint pain, stiffness and swelling
~ *Butterfly-shaped rash on the face that covers the cheeks and bridge of the nose
~ Skin lesions that appear or worsen with sun exposure
~ Fingers and toes that turn white or blue when exposed to cold or during stressful periods (Raynaud’s phenomenon)
~ Shortness of breath
~ Chest pain
~ Dry eyes
~ Headaches, confusion, memory loss
~
When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you develop an unexplained rash, ongoing fever, persistent aching or fatigue.

Man-made chemicals: the hidden role of the lymphatic system in the genesis of polycystic ovary, fibrocystic breast disease, and breast cancer.(Quantum Medicine Update)
~
Townsend Letter
April 1, 2009 by Yanick, Paul, Jr.
~
Breast cancer, the most frequent maligant disease in women, is caused by synthetic carcinogenic chemicals, or positive ionic poisons (PIPs). Discovered by the late UC Berkeley researcher Albert Krueger, MD, PIPs are synthetic chemicals with a positive ionic charge that are extremely hard to detoxify from the deeper lymphatic system. PIPs can be both carcinogenic and estrogenic and typically throw the female hormone system into chaos, leading to polycystic ovaries and fibrocystic breast disease.
*
They are found in everyday cosmetics, food, air, water, and pharmaceuticals, and leach out of the plastics used to package food, all of which have been strongly linked to carcinogensis.
*
While it is well known that carcinogens fuel carcinogenesis, research is scanty on the mechanisms underlying why and how PIPs are stored in the lymphatic and breast tissue and fail to be properly detoxified and excreted by the majority of today’s detoxification protocols. PIPs cripple the deeper lymphatic channels and the biliary networks of the liver, reducing bile production and increasing carcinogenic and estrogenic toxicity. Sadly, research is woefully deficient on PIP toxicity of the deep lymphatic channels in the development of female hormonal disorders and breast cancer.
~
In the October 1994 Townsend Letter, I stated: “The wellspring of the immunologic defense is the lymphatic system.” 33 In the 2001 issue, I started: “We have discovered that a high percentage of IBS sufferers have duodenitis, dysbiosis, stagnant lymph flow, and drainage in the deep lymph channels of the gut. …”[34] Could the widespread increase in breast disease be somehow related to stagnant lymph flow in the deep lymph channels of the gut? In a 2005 Nature article titled “Unlocking the Drains,” we read:
~
After centuries of playing second fiddle to the blood system, our
lymphatic circulation is coming into its own as a key player in
diseases ranging from cancer to ashthma. Once dismissed as a mere
drainage network, the body’s “second circulation” [lymphatic system]
is emerging as a crucial player in numerous diseases … and as a
vital part of the normal immune system. (35)
~
All body organs have deep lymphatic drainage functions. Ina alternative medicine, it is critical to consider both deep and superficial channels as integral parts of the lymphatic system. My medical collegues and I have spent over two decades using every sort of manual and electronic lymph drainage device on superficial lymphatic channels, with only minimal success. Since superficial channels converge to form bigger vessels feeding into the thoracic duct or the right lymphatic duct, clinical approaches should be aimed at restoring deep lymphatic drainage as a way to fully cleanse the body of PIPs.
~
At every level of our physiology, PIPs disrupt our symboises with nature, killing off beneficial commensal cells, so that genetic potential we have for cancer can be played out.

New Breakthroughs in Treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome
~
Townsend Letter June 1, 2001 by Yanick Jr., Paul
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is estimated to affect 1520% of adults. Also known as leaky gut syndrome, some IBS sufferers have constipation (difficult or infrequent bowel movements); others have diarrhea (frequent loose stools, often with an urgent need to have bowel movements); and some people experience both.
~
Although mainstream doctors call IBS a functional disorder, it is only because they are unable to detect any sign of disease when the colon is examined in isolation from other organs and systems of the body. IBS causes a great deal of pain, discomfort and distress, and may cause damage to the intestines and liver, and interfere with or even block nutrient uptake causing chronic malnutrition.

4 Types of Rosacea (PCOS & Acne)
The 4 Types of Rosacea
in “Understanding Rosacea”
~
Rosacea often begins with easy blushing and flushing of the facial skin. These symptoms may come and go at first. Eventually, redness persists around the nose, extending to the rest of the face. As rosacea progresses, additional facial symptoms such as burning, stinging, pimples, swelling, dry skin, enlarged blood vessels, and eye involvement may occur. These combinations of symptoms fall into the following four subtypes:
~
~ Subtype 1: Facial Redness (Erythematotelangietatic rosacea). Flushing and/or continuous facial redness occurs. Blood vessels are visible, especially around the nose.
~
~ Subtype 2: Bumps and pimples (Papulopustular rosacea). Pimples occur, and puslike lesions may be present, along with the facial redness. You may feel burning and stinging, and blood vessels on your face may be enlarged. This stage of rosacea is also known as acne rosacea.
~
~ Subtype 3: Enlargement of the nose (Phymatous rosacea). Your skin begins to thicken and develops an irregular texture. This thickening is most evident on the nose and can also occur on the ears, chin, cheeks, and forehead. You may have enlarged skin pores in addition to the large blood vessels.
~
~ Subtype 4: Eye irritation (Ocular rosacea). One or both eyes are affected in this subtype. They may be bloodshot, teary, itchy, dry, burning, or stinging, and you may have blurred or decreased vision. It’s common to feel as though you have a foreign body in the eye. This is a serious eye condition; you may need to see an ophthalmologist.
~
Symptoms of the first three subtypes may also be present on the neck, chest, ears, and scalp. Your health care provider can evaluate the subtype of rosacea you have. He or she will prescribe the treatment based on the subtype and additional information provided during an examination.
~
PCOS lady strongly suggests you look at the pictures at http://www.rosaceafacts.com/ site… You may have acne to severe rosacea…

Who Gets FMS? (Fibromyalgia)
~
Answer: According to a paper published by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), fibromyalgia affects 3 to 6 million – or as many as one in 50 – Americans. For unknown reasons, between 80 and 90 percent of those diagnosed with fibromyalgia are women; however, men and children also can be affected. Most people are diagnosed during middle age, although the symptoms often become present earlier in life.
~
People with certain rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (commonly called lupus), or ankylosing spondylitis (spinal arthritis) may be more likely to have fibromyalgia, too.
~
Several studies indicate that women who have a family member with fibromyalgia are more likely to have fibromyalgia themselves, but the exact reason for this—whether it be hereditary or caused by environmental factors or both—is unknown. One study supported by the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) is trying to identify if certain genes predispose some people to fibromyalgia.

Article: Restoring Cellular Energy Metabolism
by LEF.org … October 2012
FIBROMYALGIA
Fibromyalgia (FM) and chronic fatigue syndrome are conditions that often occur together and are believed to have a similar underlying cause.
There’s accumulating evidence that defective production of AFP is the culprit. Makes d-ribose a natural candidate for therapy for both.
A published case study showed that a woman with both experienced a decrease in symptoms following supplementation with d-ribose.
A larger study followed 41 patients with both. Subjects took 5 grams of d0ribose 3x a daily until reaching a total of 280 grams. There was a significant improvement in all five categories on a standard score:
~ energy
~ sleep
~ mental clarity
~ pain intensity
~ well being
On average, patients reported a 45% increase in energy levels.
Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome remain complicated and perplexing to scientists, these findings offer real hope for a solution.
