Diets, Experiences, Sites, Plus…

PCOS Lady:
I have tried a few diet methods (Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers and my own combination) … I researched diets and methods… I love forums for 1st hand experiences, tricks, secrets, etc…
I am a firm believer to look into all weight loss, diet, lifestyle change options, have “key” tests done before starting a plan or having weight loss surgery done…
~ I prefer eating natural and good foods to lose… Back to basics mainly…
(a high protein, complex & low carb diet, is my lifestyle)
~ Glucophage XR 500mg/daily gets rid of my tummy and abdomen pounds….
(my body can’t tolerate sugar & flour, i wear it all!)
~ Will power, determination, variety in food, in moderation, portion control, etc…
are all needed to lose weight and maintain your desired weight and size…
~ Yes, i feel you must cheat 1 meal a week to make to the next week…

Get a blood test done called Serum Insulin Level test?
~ A blood test, level should be under 11 to lose weight…
~ If 12 and higher you need a strict diet, hard exercise or you may have a hormone imbalance or something else….
Doctors rarely ever test this! You are told to beat yourself up eating less and exercising more! If you knew your number the steps would be crystal clear on steps before thinking of drastic weight loss surgeries…

The recommended carb range:
2-3.5 carb choices per meal
(30-55 g carbs per meal)
If you feel like you need a snack between meals, choose one that has less than 7-10 grams of carbohydrate per serving.
Carb Tip: Go for the carbs from fruits and veggies first. “For people who are wanting to lose weight, it’s important to look at the balance between all of their nutrients. 1 gram of protein = 4 calories
1 gram of fat = 9 calories
