By: Aysha Schurman
Mercury poisoning symptoms are rather hard to ignore. The poison will affect the entire body, not just a single area. The exact symptoms can change from person to person, but left untreated, severe mercury poisoning can be deadly.
~
What Is Mercury?
Mercury is a naturally occurring metal that exists all around us. It can be highly dangerous in large quantities and poisonous to most living organisms. Mercury can be found in the air, water and soil. It is silver colored, but odorless and tasteless. There are three forms of mercury that can cause poisoning: elemental, inorganic and organic.
~
Mercury Poisoning Symptoms
In large quantities, mercury is deadly. It not only causes many severe symptoms, it can compromise the immune system. So in addition to symptoms from the poisoning, you can contract other diseases and other symptoms due to the mercury poisoning. This sometimes makes mercury poisoning hard to identify and treat.
What mercury poisoning symptoms you present can depend entirely on what type of mercury you were exposed to. Symptoms can range from loss of teeth, hives or fever to rashes, skin lesions or a metallic taste.
~
Psychological disturbances: ~ mood swings ~ anxiety ~ anger ~ depression ~ memory loss ~ irritability
Neurological disturbances: ~ dizziness ~ twitching ~ headaches ~ tremors

~
Mercury Poisoning Treatment
The exact treatment needed for mercury poisoning depends on the type of mercury you are exposed to. At the very least you will need to visit your doctor if you suspect you have mercury poisoning. It’s likely you will be admitted to the hospital for several different treatments and medications if the mercury poisoning is anything other than very minor.

QUOTES:
“Mercury poisoning is impaired oxidation. It’s like having an invisible cord around your neck that’s strangling you, but you can’t feel that the cord is there. (The strangulations) is biochemical, but the principal is the same: mercury reduces the amount of oxygen that you get.”
Dr. Alfred Zamm, M.D., F.A.C.P. “…
~
“Slow healing” is in part a result of zinc deficiency. Mercury interferes with zinc metabolism.”
“Chronic fatigue” is a result of insufficient oxygen to the cells. Mercury interferes with the ability of hemoglobin to transport oxygen” and “…..ringing in the ears” is related to manganese deficiency. Mercury interferes with manganese metabolism.”
It’s All In Your Head, by Hal A. Huggins, DDS
~
“Mercury is associated with 258 different symptoms and copper with over 100. Almost all my patients who had their mercury-based fillings removed show moderate to dramatic improvement in their health in usually less than one month.”
Dr. David J. Nickel, O.M.D., L.Ac of Santa Monica California (from Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia & Environmental Illness, by Burton Goldberg.
~
“Research has demonstrated that the body’s tissues – especially in the brain, kidneys, jaw, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, and liver -absorb and store mercury.”
Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia & Environmental Illness, by Burton Goldberg
~
“After he underwent a root canal at the age of 15, Earl suffered severe fatigue and anxiety. At 28, he had a nervous breakdown. At the age of 32, suffering from fatigue, anger, anxiety, back problems, low blood sugar, nervousness, ringing in his ears, concentration loss, and prematurely graying hair, he consulted acupuncturist. Dr. David J. Nickel, O.M.D., L.Ac. of Santa Monica, California performed a mercury vapor analysis on Earl’s teeth and found that the level of toxic fumes from Earl’s six mercury amalgam fillings was 42 times higher than the Environmental Protection Agency’s maximum allowable limit.
He was put on supplements and there was significant improvement in his metabolic rate and blood sugar levels, he had all six mercury amalgams and his root canal tooth removed. Earl said, “I don’t remember when I have ever felt so good.”

~
Mercury poisoning: Are you affected?
~
FACTS:
Mercury amalgams (silver fillings)
* Most mercury amalgams are composed of approximately 50% mercury, 35% silver and 15% tin, copper and/or zinc. * Mercury is the major ingredient amounting to about one-half gram per amalgam. In the words of Professor Boyd Haley of the University of Kentucky, that is a “colossal” amount of mercury in scientific terms—as much, in fact, as is in a thermometer. A teenager with six fillings has six mercury thermometers worth of mercury in his or her mouth.
~
It should be noted that the more copper present in the amalgam, the more mercury vapor is released proportionally.
• Mercury atoms are continually released into the mouth with 80% absorbed by the lungs.
• Each and every amalgam daily releases on the order of 10 micrograms of mercury into the body (i.e. 3,000,000,000,000,000 mercury atoms per day).
• More than 2/3 of the excretable mercury in humans is derived from amalgams.
• People exposed to mercury on a sustained basis are at risk of lowered fertility.
• Mercury crosses the maternal placenta into the tissue of a developing fetus.
• Mercury immediately and continually challenges kidney function.
• Mercury can enhance the prevalence of multiple antibiotic resistant intestinal bacteria.
• Dentists, who collectively use 300 metric tons of mercury in amalgams each year and who often have two to five times the typical concentration of mercury in their urine, experience subtle neural and behavioral anomalies. 2,3
~
Vaccines
A very controversial source of mercury is vaccines, second only to mercury amalgams in terms of primary sources of mercury toxicity. Thimerosal (49.6% ethyl mercury) has been used as a preservative and adjuvant in most vaccines since 1931. After the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) went into effect in October 1,1988, citizens who were injured by a vaccine or vaccines could not sue the manufacturer directly but had to first file a claim with VICP.

PCOS Lady:
Diabetics and most people are having their ADH1 levels checked yearly… This post explains what the ADH1 actually is… This is scary and may scare you straight! I hope you think twice about smoking and eating or drinking anything with aspartame in it…

A liter of diet drink gives the same methanol (wood alcohol) as the smoke from a pack of cigarettes, 60 mg — methanol has a half-life in the human bloodstream of 3 hours, showing that its elimination is slow, while it reaches every part of the body and the fetus every minute.
~
Methanol is actually less toxic than ethanol, except when it goes easily into cells that also happen to have high levels of free floating ADH1 enzyme, in 19 specific human tissues, including inner walls of blood vessels in the brain and eye, as well as in the rods and cones of the retina — the methanol is made quickly into free floating formaldehyde inside these cells, where it naturally wrecks havoc, interfering with all biochemistry, just as in its well known uses for embalming and sterilizing medical tools.
~
The resulting stew of formaldehyde modified proteins activates the inflammation process of the immune system, producing complex evolving pussy lesions — brain in Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis, inner walls of blood vessels in atherosclerosis, skin fibroblasts in lupus, pancreas in diabetes 2, retina in macular degeneration, joint fibroblasts in rheumatoid arthritis

~
18 diseases from smoking cigarettes (a strong methanol source) — 24 references;

This is a work in progress, highly incomplete, as this is an introductory update on the status of an breakthrough paradigm in toxicology, that presents multiple strong lines of evidence, allowing any intelligent layperson to come to their own decisions about methanol and resulting chronic formaldehyde toxicity diseases for specific high ADH1 sites, ranging from breast cancer to diabetes 2.

“Methanol travels easily to breast tissue and has been found in human milk. 219
~
The cells that produce milk within the breast, cells prone to develop
the most common of breast cancers, adenocarcinoma 358, contain high
levels of ADH1 enzyme, 358 allowing methanol’s conversion to
formaldehyde [ inside the cells as free floating acidic hydrated
formaldehyde, highly reactive on both sides of molecule ].
~
Mammary epithelial cells have no way to protect themselves from
formaldehyde 216 — no means to render it harmless.
~
They, unlike other breast tissue, contain no aldehyde dehydrogenase
enzyme (ADH 3) that could transform formaldehyde into the
non-carcinogenic formic acid. 216
~
Of particular interest are recent findings implicating ADH as playing
a pivotal role in the formation of breast cancer, documenting a
greater incidence of the disease in women with higher levels of ADH1
activity in their breasts. 357″

Many of these diseases, including diabetes 2, are twice as harmful for
those who never drink ethanol, compared to those who have just one

MRSA
~
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methicillin-resistant_Staphylococcus_aureus
~
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterium responsible for several difficult-to-treat infections in humans. It is also called multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and oxacillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ORSA). MRSA is any strain of Staphylococcus aureus that has developed, through the process of natural selection, resistance to beta-lactam antibiotics, which include the penicillins (methicillin, dicloxacillin, nafcillin, oxacillin, etc.) and the cephalosporins.
~
MRSA is especially troublesome in hospitals, prisons, schools, and nursing homes, where patients with open wounds, invasive devices, and weakened immune systems are at greater risk of infection than the general public.
~
* In most patients, MRSA can be detected by swabbing the nostrils and isolating the bacteria found inside.

Parasites: Slowly Killing YOU?

~
Are Parasites Making You Fat? or just Slowly Killing You…?
~
Symptoms of Parasites:
The word parasite comes from Greek meaning “one who eats off the table of another.” Parasites eat and live off the food we consume, even our health supplements. They leave us the scraps. They often make us feel that we are not getting the nutrition from our food or that Something is wrong or missing…

FACT:
Here is a staggering statistic: the World Heath Organization reported that about 25% of the world’s population is infected with roundworm. These parasites can grow to 13 inches inside the intestine and can lay as many as 300,000 eggs in a single day. Once the larvae hatches it only takes about 2 months before they are reproducing like mad. You’ll have many of the same symptoms as the hookworms including ‘flu like’ symptoms and abdominal pain. If you get a swarm of 13 inchers, your intestines will probably become blocked at which point you’ll wish for nothing short of death. Also if you start vomiting be on the lookout! They have been known to be present in the toilet after vomiting or a nice hardy #2.
~

~
FLOATERS ~ Eye Floaters:
~ Eye floaters are those tiny spots, specks, flecks and “cobwebs” that drift aimlessly around in your field of vision. While annoying, ordinary eye floaters and spots are very common and usually aren’t cause for alarm.
~ When Are Eye Floaters and Flashes a Medical Emergency? If you see a shower of floaters and spots, sometimes accompanied by light flashes, you should seek medical attention immediately. Clumps occur when the vitreous gel begins to liquefy or shrink, usually with aging, and detaches from the retina.
~ For some people, floaters are clumpy; for others, they’re stringy. They may be light or dark. What you see is actually the shadows cast by clumps of vitreous gel when light shines past them onto the retina.
~ The sudden appearance of these symptoms could mean that the vitreous is pulling away from your retina or that the retina itself is becoming dislodged from the inner back of the eye that contains blood, nutrients and oxygen vital to healthy function. When the retina is torn, vitreous can invade the opening and push out the retina — leading to a detachment.

MISDIAGNOSED
~
PCOS Lady:
~
I have a real issue with doctors and medical personnel today…
Most lack common sense, the right training, the dedication for caring, the thirst to know, the desire in caring people get well!
~
Doctors take an oath to 1st do no harm then to prevent disease where they can… The oath has been changed three times over the years, seems to their benefit… But 1st do no harm is still listed!
~
Doctors: (most doctors)
~ not being properly tested on the human body functioning as a whole…
~ not completing their internships…
~ not treating the cause just caring to treat symptoms… (new symptom = another drug, etc…)
~ not looking outside the listed treatments for new and alternative ways…
~
Drug companies know there will be more over medication, misdiagnosed, not diagnosed and malpractice going on due to doctors not completing their internships cause of demand today!
~ Malpractice attorneys are real busy and winning today!
~ Those firms are seeking physicians and physician assistants to be expert witnesses, etc… (Current and retired)
~
SYMPTOMS COUNT!
~
All your symptoms count… your medical history counts! Having a doctor that knows and actually cares are crucial in getting a proper diagnosis… “YOU” have the right to a second opinion! Your insurance should cover this for you…
~
Many doctors today are not considering all your symptoms!
~ Write your symptoms down…
~ Keep track of when they start, how long, what happens, what triggered them, etc…
~ RESEARCH your symptoms online… Sites, blogs, forums, research documents, etc…
~ Educate yourself on your medical issue(s) and condition(s)…

DR JORGE FLECHAS

~
JORGE FLECHAS, M.D., M.P.H. born in Puerto Rico, received his Medical Doctorate Degree and Masters in Public Health at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. He completed his Family Practice Residency at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida.
~
Dr. Flechas over the years has published articles in the fields of fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction syndrome. Lately, he has been involved in research in the field of iodine deficiency, which has been associated with fibrocystic breast disease, ovarian cysts, breast cancer, thyroid goiter and hypothyroidism. Recent work in the field of iodine deficiency has shown that replacement therapy decreases the risk of breast cancer and promotes the reversal of fibrocystic breast disease.
~
It has been thought that iodine deficiency only manifests as hypothyroidism. Work done by many researchers over the last few years has shown that iodine is utilized by many different sections of the body. Twenty percent of all of the iodine sits in the human skin. A lack of iodine in the skin manifests as very dry skin and skin that does not sweat when an individual becomes hot. In newborn children iodine is responsible for the development of the babies’ I.Q. Recent research shows iodine deficiency is felt to be the source of attention deficit disorder in children.
~
Iodine is utilized by every hormone receptor in the body. The absence of iodine causes a hormonal dysfunction that can be seen with practically every hormone inside the body. Dr. Flechas has recently been able to show that patients with insulin resistant diabetes have a partial to full remission of their illness in the presence of taking iodine. Iodine deficiency is also felt to be the source of ovarian cysts. With iodine replacement therapy the cysts disappear and women have stopped having ovarian cysts.
~
Dr. Flechas with the help of Dr. Guy Abraham, GYN/Endocrinologist from Torrance, California has been able to develop an iodine testing laboratory. Dr. Flechas is now the Director of that laboratory. Iodine deficiency can now be measured using the Iodine Loading Test. Kits for doing this testing can be ordered from 1-877-900-5556. The test is available through FFP Laboratories. Dr. Flechas can be reached at his Flechas Family Practice in Henderson, North Carolina by phone 828-684-3233, fax 828-684-3253. and website www.helpmythyroid.com. Articles concerning iodine deficiency have been published and are available via his website.

MS: Mimic Lupus, PCOS

Posted in LUPUS, MS tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 1:06 am by PCOSLady

PCOS Lady: I was prompted to post MS symptoms since some overlap Lupus and PCOS … Doctors are misdiagnosing all three, causing conditions to possibly progress worse at times!
~ Symptoms matter! Your symptom history plays a huge roll with diagnosing!

~
MS
~
Multiple sclerosis has a probability of affecting 2-150 women out of every 100000. MS, attacks the central nervous system, wherein the immune system starts damaging nerve covering in the brain. The disease usually starts appearing in young adults with a varied level of symptoms. It impacts each individual differently. It is seldom fatal, but in most cases causes disability.
~
One of the most common symptoms of MS in women is the difficulty with vision. One can face blurry eyesight, double vision, blindness in one or both eyes, involuntary movement of the eyes, etc.

Causes and Triggers
~
Muscles are involved in every movement you make. They get longer and shorter to move and hold the body.
If MS causes nerve damage that affects muscle movements, they can cause a range of problems.
~
Recognizing Trigger Factors
~
Investigating potential trigger factors that cause or make your spasms or stiffness worse is a vital step in finding solutions. If identified and addressed, these may reduce or relieve the problem.
~
For example, something as simple as loosening tight clothing might provide some relief.
~
The following are some of the more common trigger factors that you and your doctor or MS nurse might consider:
~
~ an increase in your body temperature (perhaps because of a fever or exercise)
~ infections (for example, bladder or chest infections)
~ if you are experiencing a relapse
~ skin irritation (including pressure sores)
~ a full bladder
~ constipation, causing a full bowel
~ overly tight strapping or clothes
~ a fractured bone (perhaps caused by a fall)
~ problems with posture
~ emotional stress

Lupus: Mimics PCOS, MS

Lupus
By Mayo Clinic staff
~
Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems — including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.
~
Lupus can be difficult to diagnose because its signs and symptoms often mimic those of other ailments. The most distinctive sign of lupus — a facial rash that resembles the wings of a butterfly unfolding across both cheeks — occurs in many but not all cases of lupus.
~
The most common signs and symptoms include:
~
~ Fatigue and fever
~ Joint pain, stiffness and swelling
~ *Butterfly-shaped rash on the face that covers the cheeks and bridge of the nose
~ Skin lesions that appear or worsen with sun exposure
~ Fingers and toes that turn white or blue when exposed to cold or during stressful periods (Raynaud’s phenomenon)
~ Shortness of breath
~ Chest pain
~ Dry eyes
~ Headaches, confusion, memory loss
~
When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you develop an unexplained rash, ongoing fever, persistent aching or fatigue.
